Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete is an alternative way to bring a natural stone effect to your driveway, sidewalk, patio, or fire pit here in Colorado Springs. Mario Brothers Concrete provides a wide variety of stamped concrete patterns and colors to match sandstone, slate, cobblestone and many more. For a more dramatic look, home owners often combine different patterns and colors to create borders or section off specific areas. This is one way to bring a distinctive look at a fraction of the cost. In addition, stamped concrete is very durable and easy to maintain. As your concrete contractor , we will work with you to create a design that will meet all your expectations.

Here is a  perfect example of a house that Mario Brothers Concrete worked on in the past. The homeowners had issues with their lawn due to Colorado’s dry weather. They wanted to xeriscape their lawn, and improve their patio and driveway. As shown there was no visual appeal to the straight narrow gray drive way, boring walkway and an unhealthy lawn. After listening to all the issues and concerns of the homeowners, we were able to start the planning process.

Mario Brothers Concrete consulted with the homeowners and composed a plan for stamped concrete and flat work. Creatively they agreed on the color, texture and shape of the concrete that would complement the structure of their home and, the best approach to xeriscape.

The next process was for a crew to start grading, forming, pouring and placing the concrete. The crew also prepared the lawn for gravel. Once the cement was partially dry, the color and stamping was executed. After 24 hours the cement was rinsed and a sealer was applied. On the second day the landscape was completed.

As a result, the new driveway creates a visual pathway to the house. The driveway starts out with a slight curve that leads the eye to the curvy pathway and porch. The xeriscape adds contrast to the colored concrete. The finished project brighten up the place and adds a great curb appeal.
